The flexible biodegradable hydrogel can help 3D printing human soft tissues in the future.
May 16, 2018

"Caproic acid lactone and polyethylene glycol (peg) has been approved by the food and drug administration for equipment and widely used in the implant, which will help the material quickly turn into a future of preclinical and clinical trials. The mechanical properties of this hydrogel have real advantages over the tunability of different soft tissues." A provisional patent has been applied for new elastic materials that can be used to create tissue patches that will help the patient's natural tissue heal and regenerate. The goal of the study was to use the new hydrogel to make new blood vessels for children with heart defects. However, Dr. Hong said, there is still a long way to go before this can be achieved.

Previous: The scientists used four types of biological ink 3D printing tissue, which was implanted in rats without rejection and could be used for cancer research.
