Dubai Will Launch Its First 3D Printing Villa In April
Feb 25, 2018

Dubai is trying to achieve a 25% plan for all the buildings it plans to print in the city by 2030, and another step towards its goal.

According to dubai's Hussain Nasser Lootah, the city is preparing to launch its first 3D printing villa in the next two months. At this stage of the development of 3D printing architecture, the city said it had acquired all the "necessary tools and equipment" to start making villas.

Dubai's first 3D printing office building.

"3D printing is a disruptive technology that is expected to topple the entire real estate industry," said Sameer Lakhani, managing director of Global Capital Partners, a private equity and real estate firm based in dubai.

"At the moment, this process is more expensive than traditional construction methods. And it is in its infancy and can only accommodate basic design. But within 10 to 15 years, this "print" form seems to be starting to replace existing construction methods."

As part of dubai's 3D printing strategy, the building is one of the key areas in which dubai city plans to integrate additive manufacturing.Other key areas are health and consumer goods.

The city hopes that 3D printing will eventually provide a more efficient way to build homes, offices, etc., regardless of cost and time.So far, the uae's cities have 3D printing offices and research and development laboratories dedicated to drone research.

Cazza construction, a mysterious and promising startup in silicon valley, is working with dubai to transform the local construction industry using 3D printing technology.

Last year, the company announced plans to build the world's first 3D printing skyscraper.Until then, we will eagerly await the results of the 3D printing villa project.
