Polish Designers Designed And 3D Printed Anti-pollution Masks For Children.

3D designer Bartlomiej Gaczorek collaborated with polish 3D printer company Sinterit to design and 3D print anti-pollution masks for children.The "brifo" mask is designed to protect children from pollution in big cities, or to paint or polish activities.

Gaczorek is not the first to cooperate with Sinterit, because last year the two companies collaborated to design and 3D print the exoskeleton arm of children with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).Their latest project is a joint effort to produce 3D printed products and equipment for children.

The brifo project was inspired by a lack of antifouling masks for children.And, as 3D designers emphasize, designing masks is not as simple as tweaking an existing adult mask.The most important thing is to design a lightweight, comfortable, child-wearing filter mask.The Gaczorek also wants to make the mask as durable as possible to solve the children's accident-prone activities.Finally, it looks cool.

Gaczorek explains: "my workflow, from ideas to prototypes, is achieved through CAD design, output, hollowing out, filling and nesting inside the printer."So far, I have had to use different software for almost every operation.Repeated imports and exports are not only frustrating, but can also destroy the final output file."

Gaczorek USES sintered it Lisa 3D printers based on selective laser sintering (SLS) technology in 3D printing of anti-fouling masks.Unlike FDM 3D printing, SLS printers use the laser system of sintered polymer powder to build objects, which are usually more expensive than FDM printing to achieve higher precision components.
